Global SDG7 Conference – hydropower as a part of the solution

Recognizing the importance of energy for sustainable development, the 2030 Agenda has established the Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) – the first-ever universal goal on energy, with five targets on access, efficiency, renewables and means of implementation.

The Global SDG7 Conference in Bangkok 21.-23. February will discuss how to achieve the goals for energy. NVE will participate in the side event 21^st February, hosted by NORAD and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focusing on hydropower as a part of the solution for sustainable development. NVE will give a presentation on the importance of capacity building and institutional cooperation to strengthen government institutions, enabling them for sustainable management of natural resources for renewable energy production.
